The Sainte-Beuve Hotel is housed in a landmark 18th century mansion with stylish décor partly created by the English decorator, David Hicks. Accessed via the glass doorway, the public areas feature restful colour schemes, thick sisal rugs, paintings and sculptures by modern masters. The lobby opens onto a Georgian parlour, which is elegantly appointed, with plush sofas, armchairs, columns, and even a marble fireplace. The 22 guestrooms are decorated in mainly white and beige tones, complemented by wooden period furnishings. All the rooms have marble bathrooms equipped with everything from deluxe toiletries to make-up mirrors. Don be aware, however, that some of the standard rooms can be pretty small.
