Lutetia hotel
The only deluxe hotel in St. Germain des Près, the hotel is located on the left bank of Paris, close to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay.

Lutetia hotel
Built in 1910 on the initiative of the department store "Bon Marché", the Lutetia was the first art-deco hotel in Paris. Since 1955, it has belonged to the Taittinger family and was gathered within the Concorde Hotels Group in 1973. It is housed in an imposing and beautiful Parisian building, designed in the classic Haussman style, at the meeting point of two broad avenues. The large lobby features marble floors, glittering chandeliers and is decorated with modern statues and pictures. At the Concierge desk, situated right next to the entrance, guests can book tickets for the Opera and other shows. The lobby leads on to a spacious lounge with a bar at the end, traditionally decorated in red tones. Guests can relax in its luxurious yet cosy atmosphere and enjoy live piano music. Furnished with a mixture of Art Deco and classic styles, the guestrooms are a peerless example of early 20th-century Parisian society's taste. The designer, Sybille de Margerie, has created a new harmony between blond and acajou mahogany to create a very stylish decor. All the rooms are clean and well maintained. Under the leadership of the Executive Chef Philippe Renard, "Le Paris" is an elegant and cozy place where guests can enjoy refined gourmet cuisine. Alternatively, "Le Lutétia" brasserrie is more informal, allowing guests to enjoy seafood specialities in a pleasant atmosphere.

Unable to check in immediately but admittedly we arrived before 1200 Noon. The servicxe from the concierge was excellent in arranging for a table of eight at short notice in a very good local restaurant - La Petite Chaise, Rue de Grenelle.
Top Tip
See above - La petite Chaise is a good local restaurant. The bistro Lutetia and Paris Restaurant attached to the hotel get very booked up so it is necessary to book well in advance to ensure a table.

A superb hotel, in a great location - really close to all the boutiques and cafes of st germain.
Top Tip
Opporsite the excellent department store, le bon marche, which has much nicer clothes and shoes than gallerie lafayette and is much less crowded.
